How We Use Your Information
We use collected data for providing and maintaining services, improving the website experience, communicating about our offerings, sending newsletters with consent, analyzing usage patterns, detecting fraud and fulfilling legal requirements.
Data Security
We implement protective measures including encryption of data in transit and at rest, regular security assessments, access controls, secure storage and employee training.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
Information may be shared with service providers, legal authorities when required, professional advisers, and successor entities during mergers. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Processors We Use
When you submit an enquiry or subscribe to our newsletter, the details you provide are processed and stored using Google Workspace — specifically Google Sheets (where the enquiry is recorded), Google Apps Script (which receives the submission) and Gmail (which delivers our reply). Google acts as a data processor on our behalf under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum. No other third-party form or CRM service receives your enquiry.
Website analytics, where enabled, are provided by Google Analytics. We also use Apollo.io's website visitor tool, which compares the IP address of visitors against a business database to identify the organisation a visit may have come from — for example, "someone at a logistics company in Manchester read the automation guide". It is aimed at identifying companies, not individuals, and we do not use it to attach a name to a visit. Like analytics, it runs only where you have consented. Search on this site runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
How Long We Keep Enquiries
Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission and are then deleted automatically. If you ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, we remove both the stored record and the associated email correspondence — email us at hello@privolabs.com and we will confirm once it is done.
Your Rights
You can access, correct or request deletion of your data; object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time.
Cookies and Consent
We use Google Analytics with Consent Mode v2 to understand which pages and outreach channels bring visitors to the site, and Apollo.io's website visitor tool, which is held back by the same consent choice and does not run until analytics storage is permitted. No advertising tracking is used — ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are denied everywhere, for every visitor. Analytics storage is granted by default outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland; in those regions it is denied until you accept via the consent banner at the bottom of the page. Declining is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
When analytics storage is granted, Google may set first-party cookies (such as
_ga) to distinguish users and sessions. No third-party cookies are used.
To attribute which channel first brought you to the site, we also use your browser's
local storage under the key pl-attr. This contains the marketing channel
source, medium, and campaign of your first visit, the landing page path, and the
referrer origin — no name, email, or message content, only campaign
metadata. It is discarded automatically after 90 days, and you can clear it from your
browser's site data at any time. Search on this site runs entirely in your browser and
sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for those under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from this age group.
International Data Transfers
Data may be transferred to international servers with appropriate safeguards in place.
Changes to This Policy
Updates may occur periodically. Material changes will be announced by posting on this website.
